The Regional Agency of Health Occitania (ARS) rewarded on Tuesday ten “innovative” projects at the Regional Assembly for the neurodegenerative diseases, gathered at the stadium Ernest-Wallon, in Toulouse, in front of 900 participants. In Occitania, 850 000 people are affected by these chronic diseases which cause a deterioration of the function of nerve cells, in particular the Alzheimer’s disease (but also Parkinson or Huntington’s disease).
